The stable LOCKBOX car safe is made of 1.5 mm thick steel, with a tight-fitting lid that is twice as thick for extra stability thanks to beading at the edge. The unique construction includes an intricate hinge system and welded steel construction. The included Grade 8 hardware has mounting holes for either floor or flush mounting, allowing the LOCKBOX-AutoSafe to be mounted behind the back seat in a pickup truck or virtually any other location.
The exterior is unobtrusively presented in black with a hard-wearing, textured powder coating.
Locking features the patented Pry-Guard anti-theft locking system to protect and secure expensive computer equipment, plus over 3.1mm thick welded steel components and 10-tumbler double-bit key.
