The basis is the construction made of aluminum base rails with a wall thickness of 2 mm, on which the frame made of 1.2 mm aluminum tubes is built. All connections are TIG welded for strength and support with minimal weight. The aluminum outer shell, the fully welded frame, doors with gas springs, heavy-duty hinges and locks offer the value-oriented consumer functionality and reliability for years.

- What material is the hardtop made of?The hardtop model AR-DCU is made of aluminum.
- Do I need a TÜV approval or a parts certificate?No, a TÜV certificate is not required, since a hardtop is considered a "cargo". No, no parts certificate is required. However, if you would like to have the parts certificate, please contact us.
- Does aluminum have any advantages over GRP?No and yes. Aluminum and GRP are both materials that have their justification in the market. It rather depends on your wishes and requirements which material is more suitable for you. However, no material is decisively better than the other and brings its individual requirements with it! For more detailed advice on this topic, please contact our customer service.
- How long does it take to assemble a hardtop?It always depends on how skillful the fitter is. In general, it is not difficult to assemble a hard top, but special attention must be paid to the orientation of the hard top (straight, parallel - see the assembly instructions for more information). A good guideline is 2-2.5 hours for preparation, placement and (electrical) assembly. We always recommend a "water test" after putting it on and test fastening it to guarantee the tightness of the hardtop. The optional rear window defroster connection will cost an additional 4-5 hours of labor to route the wire harness and connect to the battery.
