- Do I need a TÜV approval or a parts certificate?No, no TÜV certificate is required, since a hardtop is considered a "load". No, no parts certificate is required. However, if you would like to have the parts certificate, please contact us.
- How long are spare parts available?We guarantee you a spare parts service for up to 10-15 years after purchase. You don't have to worry about not being able to obtain spare parts after several years. This long-standing after-sales service distinguishes us from other providers.
- Is GRP the same as plastic?No, GRP is not the same as plastic. "Glass fiber reinforced plastic" is characterized by its resilience, easy repair and light weight and is perfectly suited for hardtop construction. Because of these good properties, GRP is also used in the sailing ship industry.
- How long does it take to assemble a hardtop?It always depends on how skillful the fitter is. In general, it is not difficult to assemble a hard top, but you have to pay special attention to the alignment of the hard top (straight, parallel - see the assembly instructions for more information). A good guideline is 2-2.5 hours for preparation, placement and (electrical) assembly. We always recommend a "water test" after putting it on and test fastening it to guarantee the tightness of the hardtop. The optional rear window defroster connection will cost an additional 4-5 hours of labor to route the wire harness and connect to the battery.
- Can you combine a hardtop with a bar?No, this is impossible.
